PRESIDENTIAL AMNESTY BOSS ASKED TO CARRY 3RD PHASE GENERALS ALONG

The President of the South-South Youths Peace Mission, Ambassador Ebimie Makera has called on the Special Adviser and Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Professor Charles Dokubo to carry along the 3rd phase Generals and their followers of the Programme.

Ambassador Makera made the call when the 3rd phase Generals and their followers of the Amnesty programme visited him at his office to brief him on the situation of affected youths of the 3rd phase. He called on the Special Adviser and Coordinator of the Programme, Professor Charles Dokubo to release funds allocated for the programme without further delay.

Ambassador Makera advised Professor Dokubo to work with the South-South Youths peace mission who are working to maintain peace in the Niger Delta region so that the current peaceful disposition existing in the South-South region will be maintained.

The advise he said is timely as he does not want what happened to the former Presidential Amnesty boss to repeat itself under the present leadership. The allegations of non-release of funds timely to the beneficiaries of the programme led to his removal and he said he as the leader of the most vibrant youth body would not like to see this present leadership of the Presidential Amnesty ship rocked due to delay/non-implementation of the 3Rd phase of the Amnesty Programme.
